An airport transit visa is a visa valid for transit through the international transit areas of one or more airports of the Member States.
To check if you need to apply for an airport transit visa, please visit the website of the European Commission at https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/policies/schengen-borders-and-visa/visa-policy/who-must-apply-schengen-visa_en. In principle, in case of transit through the international transit areas of airports located in Poland, this will apply to citizens of: Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia and Sri Lanka.
Please bear in mind that an airport transit visa only permits you to stay in the international transit area of an airport while awaiting a flight to your destination country. It does not entitle you to enter into or stay in the Schengen Area.
A consul competent to examine a visa application is always the consul of the Schengen Area Member State which is the main travel destination and if such country cannot be identified – it will be the consul from the country where the foreigner plans to stay the longest.
It is not possible to submit a visa application in a Polish consular post, if the planned travel does not cover the territory of the Republic of Poland, unless the Republic of Poland represents another Schengen Area Member State in visa matters.
If you want to submit a visa application, please register with E-KONSULAT!

There are many categories of weightlifting competitions for people with disabilities, depending on the degree of disability and the ability of the competitors. These may include, among others, competitions for people in wheelchairs, competitions for the blind or visually impaired, or competitions for people with paresis or lack of limbs and for people with other developmental disorders.
As organizers of the competition, we will ensure that all people with disabilities have equal opportunities and access to appropriate equipment and are treated in a fair and professional manner. We would like our championships in Wieliczka to be not only an opportunity to compete, but also to integrate, educate and popularize sport among people with disabilities.

]]>All Masters Committees are and have been run by volunteers, possibly alongside the lifters in being most important in the running of Masters weightlifting championships. The idea of the Masters and the start of retired weightlifters taking up their sport and competing again was the concept of Bill Clark (USAU). Bill’s big interest was baseball but on retiring he took up weightlifting and introduced many innovative ideas which still thrive today, possibly his greatest idea was to bring women into weightlifting at a time when this was not allowed. You could say he was the spark which lit many fires.
In 2022 the IWF Masters committee voted in the change of name to International Masters Weightlifting Association, running as an Association.
Many Masters, men and women, hold the belief that Masters weightlifting is about competing for as long as possible in their chosen sport, not necessarily to win medals but just to enjoy the idea of competitions again and enjoy the social aspects of making and meeting friends.
Sadly, the social aspects and benefits appear to be fading in recent years but the benefits to long-lasting good health will always remain.
]]>We would like to inform you that the Polish Olympic Committee has accepted the Honorary Patronage of our World Championships Masters Wieliczka 2023.
]]>This is a great honor for us, for which we are very grateful.
We will make every effort to represent Poland in terms of organization and sports.
